

Marilyn E. O’Brien died on Monday March 19, 2012 at Dresher Hill Health and Rehab in Dresher. She was 84 years of age. Born in New York, NY, she was raised in the Jackson Heights section of the city. She was the daughter of the late Edgar and Mae Reilley Carritte. Marilyn had lived in the Warminster – Hatboro, PA area for the past 10 years. She had previously lived in Boynton Beach, FL for 20 years and had been a Trevose, PA resident for 28 years.
Marilyn worked at LaGuardia Field, where she learned to fly. It was also where she was to meet her husband, Connie. They traveled extensively for his work. She was a former Communicant of the Assumption BVM Parish in Feasterville.
Marilyn enjoyed life and spending time with her family and friends. She was a member of the Kentucky Colonels and the Lutheran Women’s Club in West Palm Beach. She enjoyed collecting Hible art work.
Marilyn was the beloved wife of Cornelius O’Brien for 58 years before his death in 2005. She was the devoted mother of Michelle (Frank) Greco of Warminster and John (Susan) O’Brien of Medford Lake, NJ. She was the loving grandmother of Sarah O’Brien, Kyle O’Brien, Marissa Deverich, Timothy Greco, and Christine (Corie) Gabriel; great grandmother of Benjamin Gabriel. She is also survived by her sister Jacqueline O’Hara of RI.
Relatives and friends are invited to call on Monday, March 26, 2012 from 10 to 11 AM at the Lamb Funeral Home, 101 Byberry Road, Huntingdon Valley, PA 19006. Her funeral Service will follow at 11 AM. The interment will be in Forest Hills Cemetery.
