Mark “Tom” Goldenberg, MD died on Monday, April 23, 2018 at Autumn Lakes in Berkeley Heights, NJ. Born in Philadelphia, he was son of the late Benjamin and Etta Goldenberg. Dr. Goldenberg was a longtime resident of Cherry Hill NJ, and in recent years, Orlando FL.
Dr. Goldenberg was a retired board certified Radiologist in South Jersey and a long- time partner with South Jersey Radiology group. He was a graduate of Ursinus College and Temple University School of Medicine. Dr. Goldenberg was also a Navy veteran.
Mark was an avid tennis player and enjoyed boating. He liked reading, particularly history books and detective novels. After retiring, he became an enthusiastic golfer and bridge player. He was a lifelong Philadelphia Eagles fan and was thrilled to see the Eagles finally win a super bowl.
Mark enjoyed a variety of artistic mediums and had a deep respect for the artistic community. He especially enjoyed American Impressionism and the Hudson River School Movement. During his retirement Mark enjoyed pencil drawing and water color painting.
Mark was the devoted father of Laurence Goldenberg (Dawn) of Orlando FL, Amy Poorvu (Jon) of Cambridge MA and Andrew Goldenberg (Lisa) of Westfield NJ. He was the loving grandfather of Rachael, Natalie, Alexander, Julia, Amanda and Harry. He was the brother of the late Ellen Selker.
Relatives and friends are invited to his funeral service on Friday, April 27, 2018 at 11:30 AM at the Lamb Funeral Home, 101 Byberry Road, Huntingdon Valley, PA 19006. His interment will follow in Shalom Memorial Park.
In lieu of flowers, donations in his name may be made to the Alzheimer’s Foundation of America or the Children’s Eye Foundation.
