Matthew Myoung Song

Born on July 9, 1950, in Daejon, South Korea. He was the eldest son of 8 children. He was a dedicated son to the late Song, Byoung-Suk and Lee, Gwi-Soon. He grew up overcoming hardships, which instilled a strong ambition to be well-learned which shaped his life. He had a passion for music, especially classical guitar, and loved the outdoors. He enjoyed staying active through weightlifting, tennis, golf, soccer, and various other sports.

Matthew earned a Theology degree at Hankuk University and a Master’s degree with honors from the prestigious Seoul National University in South Korea. In the U.S. he pursued further education with Business, Management, Accounting and Law degrees from NYU, Polytechnic University, St. John’s University, and Brooklyn Law School.

Matthew will be laid to rest at the Forest Hills Cemetery in Pennsylvania on June 2, 2024. Memorial contributions may be made to his surviving family members by contacting 718-570-6440.

1950년 7월 9일, 대한민국 대전에서 태어난 그는 8남매 중 장남이었습니다. 고 송병석님과 이귀순님의 헌신적인 아들이었습니다. 그는 어려움을 극복하며 자라나 배움과 교육에 대한 강한 열망을 가지게 되었고, 이는 그의 전 생애를 형성했습니다. 그는 특히 클래식 기타를 사랑하는 음악 애호가였으며, 야외 활동을 즐겼습니다. 그는 역도, 테니스, 골프, 축구 및 다양한 스포츠를 통해 활발하게 활동하는 것을 좋아했습니다.

송명훈 박사 씨는 한국대학교에서 신학 학위를, 대한민국의 명문 서울대학교에서 우수한 성적으로 석사 학위를 취득하였습니다. 미국에서는 NYU, 공과대학, 세인트 존스 대학교, 브루클린 로스쿨에서 경영, 관리, 회계 및 법학 학위를 추가로 취득하며 학문을 더욱 발전시켰습니다.

송명훈 박사 교수님은 2024년 6월 2일 펜실베이니아에 있는 샬롬 묘지에 안장될 예정입니다. 추모 기부는 718-570-6440번으로 연락하여 유족에게 전달하실 수 있습니다.
