Michael William McShane

January 18, 1967May 24, 2020

Michael William McShane was born on January 18, 1967 and passed away on May 24, 2020 and is under the care of Lamb Funeral Home Inc..

Michael William Mcshane, loving husband and father of two children, passed away on Sunday, May 24, 2020 of natural causes at the age of 53.

Mike's happiest days were spending time with his family who he loved. He was a devoted and loving husband to Stacie, always by her side. Their years shared together were filled with an overabundance of sweet memories and love that will be cherished and dearly missed.

He was a loving and proud father to Luke and Lindsay. He instilled high morals, a strong work ethic, and the importance of spending time together as a family. He was a steadfast fan of their ball games, coaching their teams, videotaping their school music concerts, attending their chess tournaments, enjoying times together at the beach and sharing in all aspects of their life. They were blessed to have such a caring dad.

He worked as a Controller at Link Industrial Properties and prior to that at BET Investments. He was hard-working and dedicated to his profession. He truly enjoyed the friendships he made at work throughout his career.

Mike had an easy-going and fun way that made people easily warm up to him. He loved the company of his family and friends, appreciating and valuing all of them. He had a passion and enjoyment for the game of golf. He was a very talented golfer, playing since he was on his high school golf team. He loved God and attended church regularly. He had a personal relationship with Jesus and is now in His care. This gives us peace knowing we will one day all be together again. We love and miss him more than words can truly express.

He was the beloved husband of Stacie (nee Terlecky). Loving father of Luke and Lindsay. Dearest son of the late William McShane and Patrica McShane. Dear brother of Chris (Gina) McShane, Daniel McShane, and Kevin McShane. Dear son-in-law of the late Stanley Terlecky and Lois Terlecky and dear nephew of Kenneth Wilson. Michael is also survived by his nephews, uncles, aunts and many other family members. He loved the time he spent with each and every one of them, and he will be truly missed.

Services will be held on Tuesday June 2, 2020 at the Lamb Funeral Home at 1PM and burial at 2PM at Forest Hills. Due to COVID-19 restrictions, only immediate family may attend. In lieu of flowers, contribution accounts at www.ugift529.com are set up for Luke and Lindsay’s College Savings Plan.

My brother Bob and I grew up in Philadelphia with Mike. Bob, my older brother and Mike were childhood best friends from before I can remember. I have fond memories of Mike lifting weights in our basement, playing cards in the garage or football in the driveway. Mikes brother Chris and I were childhood friends and always looked up to the older boys. We were all so sorry to hear about Mikes passing. Our prayers and condolences go out to his family.

My condolences and prayers for Mike’s family. Mike was one of my best childhood friends in the neighborhood Juniata in Philadelphia. We grew up playing all types of sports together, we especially loved playing Golf together and Basketball. He helped me get a job at Seafood Shanty and inspired me to buy a Camaro, his was green and mine was gold. I unfortunately lost touch with Mike when he left for Penn State and I attended Temple. Then I moved to California then to Colorado. I am so sad to hear this news but glad to hear he was happily married with two loving children and a believer in God. He was a great friend to me!

Mike's first day at Link was quintessential Mike...came in with a huge smile, excited for the adventure ahead and friendly to everyone he met as he toured the office. He immediately spoke of his family's trip to Walt Disney and you could see what a dedicated family man he was in every story he told. He was old school in his manners, keeping us "millennials" in line when we would show frustrations at work and he'd show us through actions and his calm nature how to be a team player. He was dedicated to his many roles and was eager to learn and grow as a part of the Link family. He was always ready for a heartfelt conversation and made a point to make a close connection with everyone he worked with. I think everyone has a fun Mike story! The last conversation I had with him he told me of the amazing weekend he had with his family the weekend before his passing on their beach day trip where they visited a lighthouse and bought hoodies from an outside shop. Family was always everything to him and he was a great role model of a moral husband and father and we are all better for knowing him and having what time we did with him in our lives. Thank you to his family for sharing him with us and hope you know how much he loved and cherished you and not a minute went by when you weren't on his mind and in his stories at work!

Stacie, Luke and Lindsay

I am so very sorry for your loss. All of you are forever in my heart. I knew the moment I met Mike that he would be a wonderful father, because he was a genuinely loving and caring person. I could see right away how much he loved you Stacie and I saw it in his eyes when Luke and Lindsay where born how much love he had for them. He will be greatly missed.

My deepest sympathy for your loss. I worked with Mike at AFR and then again at Link. We had many happy conversations about his family and life. I can remember him laughing until there were tears in his eyes. Mike was a person who felt things deeply. It was my honor to have worked with and known him. You are all in my thoughts and prayers.
