Patricia "Pat" A. Elser

Pat was born on October 13, 1928 in Norwood, MA and raised in the Frankford section of Philadelphia. She graduated from Little Flower High School. Pat was a 72-year resident of Feasterville, purchasing a house that stood in the way of construction of the Pennsylvania Turnpike. She and her husband Bill had the house raised and moved to its present location.

Pat was a social and engaging person who enjoyed hosting and attending parties. She was a good cook and baker. Her home was always the place to be for Sunday dinner, Easter, Thanksgiving and Christmas. Pat was proud of her Irish heritage. St. Patty’s Day was a celebratory occasion.

She was a member of the Bell Telephone Pioneers/Jenkintown Council, a poll worker, a Purple Hatter, a canvasser for Catholic Charities, and a parishioner of St. Christopher Church, attending daily mass until she could no longer drive. Pat was a good friend and neighbor, always the first to offer an ear to listen or a shoulder to cry on. Above all, she was a loving wife, devoted mother and a happy Gram and Grammie to her grands and great-grands. She will be forever cherished.

Pat was preceded in death by her loving and dearly missed husband Bill, her parents, James and Edna Young, two siblings, Edna (Bob) Nedby and James (Vi) Young, several aunts and uncles, all of her first cousins, important, wonderful and life-long friends and all her original neighbors. She’s the last of a great cast of memorable characters.

Pat is survived by her five children: two daughters, Patt and Jayne; three sons, Rick, Jim and Chris (Maureen); three grandchildren: Christopher (Christine), Michael and Katy and three great-grandchildren: Luke, Jaxon and Grace; several nieces and nephews; three goddaughters and a bunch of second and third cousins.

A visitation is scheduled for Tuesday, February 25, 2025, at St. Christopher Church, Proctor Road in Somerton, from 10AM to 11AM; Mass at 11AM. Interment will be private.
