Phillip was a resident of Southampton for 16 years. He was born in Philadelphia. He was the son of the late James and Pollika Costa and cherished brother to Theodore Costa, Barbara Costa-Morina and the late Thomas Costa. He was the deeply loved husband of Vivian Santore-Costa and devoted father of Joseph Costa, Andrew Homyn, Carla Costa and James Costa. He was the loved father-in-law of Mia Costa, Tracey Homyn and William Hollingsworth and the honored brother-in-law to Gail Costa, Robert, Joe, Pat, Andrew and Carol Santore and Joseph Morina. Phillip celebrated life with his grandchildren: Billy, Desiree, Noel, Joseph, Taylor, Andrew, Nicholas, Erin, Jesse, Alexa, Dominique and Julia. He is also survived by several uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews and extended family members.
Phillip was a proud United States Marine and served his country during the Korean War. Throughout his strong, beautiful life, he accomplished many things. He owned and managed the Spectrum Diner in Philadelphia, where he met his future wife, Vivian. He then pursued a long career in Graphic Arts and Design that led him to eventually lead his own business, Graphic Specialties, which he successfully maintained for 25 years.
Phillip enjoyed model making and sharing his love of classic movies with his children and grandchildren. Family was his true passion as he chronicled his beautiful lifetime memories with cherished photos that will gift his large, loving family for generations to come. Phillip truly was patriarch of his family and even "adoptive" father to many. He was the most devoted husband, a supportive loving brother and adoring father and grandfather and his memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved him.
