

Pil Soon was born on November 20, 1940, to parents, Gye Won Choi and Sun Heung Pyo. She attended school in Korea and eventually moved to the United States where she lived for over 50 years with her husband and children. Pil Soon worked alongside her husband in their retail business as well as in their tailor shop for over 30 years. She was a devoted mother to her three children, and later, a cherished grandmother to her three grandchildren.
Pil Soon had a warm heart and was a great source of comfort and strength to her family. She laughed easily and was often a bright spot in the home. She was a selfless person who often sacrificed her own needs for others. She was also a wonderful cook who loved gardening and would frequently prepare delicious meals and banchan using ingredients from her own harvest. She was an experienced seamstress who assisted at her husband's tailor shop for many years. She had a great love of animals and often took in stray cats and kittens.
She will be dearly missed.
Pil Soon Kang was preceded in death by her parents, Gye Won Choi and Sun Heung Pyo, and her brothers, Woo Young Choi, Ho Young Choi and Doo Young Choi.
Pil Soon Kang is survived by her husband of over 55 years, Hong Sik Kang; brother, Jae Young Choi; sister, Sook Hee Choi; son, Peter Kang; daughters, Lucia Kang and Teresa Kang (Adam Meyer); and her grandchildren, Ashley Kang, Ella Meyer and Makayla Kang.
Services will be held privately at Lamb Funeral Home, followed by interment at Forest Hills Cemetery.
