

Raymond was born on September 11, 1933 in Philadelphia, PA, to parents, Louis and Louise (Dellaso) Boggi. He graduated from Frankford High School in 1949. He continued his education, graduating from Temple University with a degree in Teaching. Raymond went on to establish a career as a Teacher, working for Philadelphia School District for over 5 years. Before his teaching career he was a Philadelphia Police officer as well as a Union Carpenter. In addition, Mr. Boggi served in the Marines, Army Reserves and the Navy .
Some of Raymond’s hobbies included: wood working, traveling and going on cruises. He had a love of small animals and gardening. In his later years he had a love for solitaire and riding around on his scooter, giving the neighborhood dogs treats.
Raymond was preceded in death by his 3 siblings, Louis, Marie and Bobby; his wives, Barbara (Sherman) Boggi and Irma (Ellis) Boggi; son-in-law, Mark Hagborg and daughter-in-law, Debbie (Petres) Boggi; and two grandchildren; Michelle and Michael.
Raymond is survived by his sons; Raymond Boggi, Michael Boggi, wife, Gail (Kopchinski) Boggi; daughter, Barbara (Boggi) Hagborg, grandchildren: Raymond Boggi, Dawn Cooper and Kara Boggi, April Popolo, Krystal Boggi, Jillian Boggi, Jenn (Hagborg) Brown, Ashley (Hagborg), Sheldon, Denise Hagborg and great-grandchildren; Michael Boggi, Helena Boggi, Aiden Boggi, Dylan Boggi, Justin, Dustin Briggs, Lucian Rivera, Shiloh Rivera, Carissa Boggi, Dakota Kinney, Aurora Kinney, Jailynn Malafee, Alyssa Brown, Lily Brown, Tommy Brown, Ariyah Sheldon, and Lenoa Sheldon.
Family and friends are invited to attend a two-hour Visitation on Thursday, October 19, 2023 at Lamb Funeral Home, 101 Byberry Road, Huntingdon Valley, PA 19006, from 11:00am – 1:00pm. The Funeral Service will take place at 1:00pm with burial to follow at Forest Hill Cemetery.
