Raymond E. Meyers, Sr. died on Saturday December 24, 2016 at the Kennedy University Hospital in Cherry Hill, NJ. Born in Philadelphia, he was the son of the late Harry and Ella Heath Meyers. He was a longtime resident of Palmyra, NJ.
Mr. Meyers is a retired roofer. He had been an employee of George Meher Roofing in Philadelphia.
Raymond was a Navy veteran of WW II, serving in the Pacific Theater. Ray enjoyed trips to the casinos and classic westerns.
Raymond was the beloved husband of Flora Warburton Meyers for 67 years. He was the loving father of Barbara A. Meyers, Joan M. Walker, Raymond Jr., Susan Doyle, Elaine Littlewood, Edward L. Meyers, Flora Remillard, Robert J. Meyers, and Elvira L. Harris. He is also survived by fifteen grandchildren, nineteen great grandchildren, and two great great grandchildren.
Relatives and friends are invited to call on Thursday, December 29, 2016 from 11 AM to 1 PM at the Lamb Funeral Home, 101 Byberry Road, Huntingdon Valley, PA. His service will be at 1 PM.
