Richard DeLong passed away peacefully at his home on 8-21-2021 with family and friends by his side. He was 73 years old. He was a long time resident of Trevose for 52 years. Born and raised in Philadelphia to Helen and Michael (deceased).
He graduated from Dobbins Technical High School in 1966 with a degree in printing. From high school, he worked for Braceland Brothers Printing Company for 35 years. He also loved the Mummers parade, and he was a member of the Aqua String band playing front line banjo for many years. Loved Thomas Kinkade paintings, music, reading and just recently making lamps.
Moving to Trevose in 1969, he became a Volunteer Firefighter, later becoming captain with the Trevose Fire Company, retiring as a lifetime member. Prior to this he ran with the 2nd alarmers before moving to Bucks County.
He was preceded in death by his parents Helen and Michael, his siblings Mark, Michael and Dennis.
He was the beloved husband of Christine and loving father to Cori Lynn (Tony). He is also survived by his 2 cherished grandchildren Nathan and Mackenzie. Along with several nieces and nephews and many very special friends.
Relatives and friends are invited to his viewing on Saturday August 28th, from 9:00am to 11:00am at Lamb Funeral Home (101 Byberry Road, Huntingdon Valley, PA 19006) followed by interment at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery.
