Roslyn D. Krawitz died on Friday, October 4, 2019 at the Abington – Lansdale Hospital. She was ninety-one years of age. Born in Philadelphia, she was the daughter of the late Emil Jack and Reba Davis. Roslyn had been a resident of the Abramson Center for Jewish Life in North Wales for the past 6 months. She was previously a longtime resident of Jenkintown and Glenside, PA
Mrs. Krawitz was a retired teacher; she had taught at various secular and religious day schools. She was also the founder of Aleph Bet Nursery School in NE Philadelphia Roslyn was a graduate of Pierce Junio College and Temple University where she received her bachelor’s degree and teaching certification.
Roslyn was a member of Old York Road Temple Beth Am where she taught Hebrew school and was the librarian. She was a long-time member of Hanna Senesh Hadassah for more than 60 years. Roslyn loved to collect giraffes, play scrabble, banana-gram and rummikub.
Roslyn was the beloved wife of Melvin Krawitz for 58 ½ years before his death in 2010. She was the devoted mother of Les Krawitz (Susan), Howard Krawitz (Jodi) and Nancy Weinberg (Richard). She was the loving grandmother of Alan, Marc, Seth, Chelsea and Ross. Roslyn was the proud great-grandmother of Mason Krawitz and Carson Krawitz.
