Ruth L. Mease

Born in Bristol, PA., she was the daughter of the late Clayton Woodington, Jr. and Ruth L. (nee Morison) and the beloved wife of Raymond Mease.

Ruth and Ray so enjoyed their traveling to Maine and Florida, sitting on the beach in Ocean City, MD, and just alone time. Ruth loved her children, grandchildren and the entire family. Family came first.

In addition to her parents, Ruth was predeceased by Jorja Roberts and William E. Woodington. She is survived by her devoted husband of 13 Years, Raymond Mease, her loving children, Robert and Michael Smith (Rebecca) and Heather Mease, her siblings, Clayton Woodington (Beth) and Melani Cuevas, and grandchildren, Cynthia and Autumn Smith.

Ruth was an avid reader, who enjoyed everything, including biographies, beach reading, and the classics. Ruth enjoyed musicals and going to Broadway shows where she saw Les Miserables at least 12 times. Ruth was very musical. She performed with her high school band and was one of the first girls to walk down Broad Street as a Mummer. Ruth enjoyed cooking and liked trying new recipes, which made grocery shopping much more interesting.

Her family requests that donations be made in Ruth’s memory to the Gift of Life and/or the American Red Cross.
