

Samuel A. Schreier met his Savior on Monday, June 23, 2014 at his son's home. Born November 20, 1921, in Dorfchemnitz, Germany, he was 92 years of age. He was the son of the late Arno and Olga Schreier. Samuel lived in Macungie, PA for the past several weeks, and previously resided in Hershey, Pennsylvania.
Mr. Schreier was a retired employee of the Laneko Engineering Company in Fort Washington, PA. He was an Army veteran of WW II, serving in the South Pacific as an Army medic. Samuel enjoyed being with his family. He loved the Lord and served as Sunday School Superintendent, Deacon, and on the Mission Board. Samuel enjoyed working outdoors. He was an avid reader and bird watcher.
Samuel was the beloved husband of 67 years to Ruth M. Schreier. He was the devoted father to Werner S. Schreier (Linda), of Macungie, PA and Susan L. Baily of Palmyra, PA. His siblings include Gloria Schmey of Mountainside, NJ and deceased brother, John Schreier. He was a loving grandfather to Gretchen (Joe) Deutsch, Heidi (Brian) DiSante, Peter Schreier, John (Michelle) Schreier, Matthew (Heidi) Baily, Rachel (William) Murrell, Hannah (Matthew) Brooker, and Sarah Baily and loving Opa to Katia and Hans Deutsch; Cailin, Erin and Megan DiSante, Morgan Schreier, Luke, Benny and Joey Schreier; Josephine Murrell, Lukas Baily and baby Brooker on the way.
