Steven Gregg Orndorff, passed away on March 11, 2019 at the age of 60 in Doylestown, PA.

Steven left this earth the same way he entered it, which was in his own style. On a cold March night in 1958, during a snowstorm, Steven was born at home in Trevose, PA, in the same house he lived for 58 of his 60 years of life. He was the youngest son of Charles and Bertha Orndorff and for the entirety of his life, he loved his parents, brother and sister more than words can express.

Steven was an avid fisherman in his heyday, taking trips out to the local creeks, lakes or even trying his hand at deep sea fishing. He enjoyed his friendships throughout his life and held on to those relationships until the end. He was a history buff and liked to research as well as explain every intricate piece of what he learned to those that were listening. He was known as the uncle who could turn a holiday dinner into a few hours teaching session on mechanical engineering where he could share all his years of experience working on machinery in Philadelphia based bakeries.

After nearly dying in 2016 and surviving an above the knee amputation due to medical complications, Steven woke from surgery, not regretting the loss of his leg, but thankful that he was able to live.

There was a lot of living in his 60 years on earth and those that knew him can take away a few lessons that he might have taught you directly or inadvertently. Here are just a few of the lessons we have learned that we are sure Steven would not mind us sharing with you.

• Live your life with no regrets, as you only have one life to live. • There is nothing wrong with a grown man having a PEZ collection. • Be humble. There is no need to be envious of others. • There are surprisingly a lot of meals that can be made using scrapple, however, we don’t suggest that you try them without doctor supervision. • Always make happy memories with those that you love, because that is all you can take with you in the end.

Steven is survived by his brother, Charles Orndorff (Sandra), sister, Sharon Pruchnic, nieces, Dr. Rebecca Orndorff and Jennifer Moyer (Derek), nephew, Matthew Orndorff (Aimee) as well as a daughter and grandson.

Though he will be terribly missed, we are grateful he is in heaven with his parents and all those that have gone before him, free of wheelchairs, prosthetic limbs and able to walk again.

We invite friends and family to join us in celebrating the life of Steven on Monday, March 18th at Lamb Funeral Home, 101 Byberry Road, Huntingdon Valley, PA 19006. Visitation will begin at 12:00 pm with funeral services at 1:00 pm. Interment will follow at Forest Hills Cemetery.
