

Thomas was born in Philadelphia, PA to the late Joseph and Caroline (Nydza) Hasiak. He grew up in the Fairmount section of the city where he attended St. Hedwig’s Polish School, graduating in 1952 and also was a 1956 graduate of Dobbins Technical High School.
He was an avid rower and proud member of the Fairmount Rowing Club as part of the Schuylkill Navy. He participated in many regattas both in the United States and Canada and won many races; most notably multiple wins of the Royal Canadian Henley, Senior 135-lb.
Mr. Hasiak worked at H. David Siegfried and Company in Philadelphia from 1960-1965 and at Glaxo Smith-Kline from 1965-1998 as a maintenance machinist. While employed by Smith Kline, he was requested to travel to China and Puerto Rico many times to help build plants in emerging pharmaceutical markets.
After his retirement from Smith Kline in 1998, Thomas spent many contented hours landscaping and caring for his gardens and property which was affectionately known as “Hasiak Park” by family and friends as well as doting on his wife of forty years, Helen and their daughter Amy.
Thomas was preceded in death by his loving wife Helen, his son David, his brother Joseph Hasiak, sister Susan Hasiak and his sister-in-law Patricia Hasiak. He is survived by his sister JoAnn Shebby (Bill), his daughter Susan Jacobson (Mark, Sr.) of Warrington, his son Thomas J. Hasiak, Jr. (Sharon) of Warminster, and his daughter Amy Hasiak of Southampton. In addition, he is also survived by his
four grandchildren: Shannon Jacobson, Julia Hasiak, Mark Jacobson, Jr. and Joseph Hasiak.
Relatives and friends are invited to a visitation on Tuesday, October 12, 2021 from 10:00 a.m. to 10:45 a.m. at Our Lady of Good Counsel Church in Southampton, PA followed by a funeral mass at 11:00 a.m. Thomas will be inurned at Holy Sepulchre Catholic Cemetery in Cheltenham, PA immediately following the mass. After the cemetery service, all are invited to a luncheon at The Buck Hotel, located in Feasterville, PA.
