Yoon Sun Yi

Yi Yoon Sun, age 87, passed away peacefully on November 26, 2023 in Lansdale, PA. She was a resident of Philadelphia and Cheltenham for 50 years before moving to the area in 1973 from Seoul, South Korea.

She was born on February 26, 1936, in Seoul to parents, Um Kiwon and Park Soon Dong. After graduating high school, Yoon went on to establish a career as a tailor. She worked with her husband Ui Man Lee in Philadelphia on Ogontz Avenue for over 30 years.

She loved to cook for her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and for the people at her church. She attended the Huntingdon Valley Korean Presbyterian Church (located at 2660 Huntingdon Pike, Huntingdon Valley, PA 19006).

Yi Yoon Sun was preceded in death by her husband, Ui Man Lee, her parents, Um Kiwon and Soon Dong Park, and her daughter, Jin Sook Kang.

She is survived by her children; Kwang Hae Lee (Ok Suk Yi), Kwang Suk Lee, Kwang Ho Lee (Ashley), and Crystal Paek (Jon Pak); her brother, Um Dae Yong, her grandchildren; Dong Ju, Dong Nam, Mary Lee, Crystal Paek, Austin Lee, and Ruby Lee, and her great-grandchildren; Audrey Paek, Brielle Paek, and Calvin.

A visitation for Yoon will be held Thursday, November 30, 2023 from 5:00 PM to 6:00 PM at Lamb Funeral Home Inc., 101 Byberry Road, Huntingdon Valley, Pennsylvania 19006.

A funeral service will occur Friday, December 1, 2023 at 10:00 AM, 101 Byberry Road, Huntingdon Valley, Pennsylvania 19006. To ensure everyone's timely arrival, please do not use the Forest Hills entrance. You will enter at the top of the hill on Byberry Road using the Lamb Funeral Home entrance.

A burial will occur Friday, December 1, 2023 at 11:00 AM at Forest Hills Cemetery, 25 Byberry Road, Huntingdon Valley, Pennsylvania 19006.
