

Alma Anna (Graft) Weaver, 90 of Huntington and formerly of Coe Street in Roanoke passed away at 1:35 p.m. on Thursday, July 28, 2011 at Norwood Health and Rehabilitation Center. She was a long time member of the Huntington First Church of the Nazarene where she was active in the Missionary Society and taught Sunday school for several years. She was a homemaker and well known for her wonderful cherry pies and her beautiful quilts. She enjoyed RV camping as well as gardening and canning fruits and vegetables. She and her husband, Thurman have been residents of Norwood Health and Rehabilitation Center since February 2010.
She was born on January 7, 1921 in Tocsin, Indiana, a daughter of Christian A. and Meta M. (Roemkey-McGlynn) Graft, Jr.
She was united in marriage to Thurman L. Weaver, Jr. on July 7, 1937 in Fort Wayne. Her husband survives.
Additional survivors include a son: A. Wayne (JoAnn) Weaver of Valparaiso; two daughters: Damaris L. (Larry) Rader of Huntington; Janice J. Emley of Monticello, IN; one brother: Chris (Ginny) Graft of Roanoke; a sister: Loretta Hunnicutt of Warren; eight grandchildren: Loraine (Doug) Crecelius, Pamela Johnston, Mickey (Chad) Gerard, Sandra (Greg) Sands, Sue Jordan, James Weaver, Beth (Tony) Crachiolo and Vicki Rulong; and ten great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by three brothers: Albert, Walter and Edwin Graft and a sister: Rosemary Osburne.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, July 31, 2011 from 2:00 – 4:00 p.m. and 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. at the Myers Funeral Home Huntington Chapel, 2901 Guilford Street, Huntington, Indiana.
Funeral service will be held on Monday, August 1, 2011 at 10:30 a.m. at the Myers Funeral Home Huntington Chapel with Pastor Gene Vickery officiating.
Interment will take place at the Hoverstock Cemetery in Zanesville.
