Beatrice Marie Robinson

B. Marie Robinson, 94 of Huntington, IN passed away at 8:45am on Tuesday, February 3, 2015 at Tipton Place. Marie was born on February 23, 1920 in Akron, Ohio, a daughter of Charles Roy and Hazel Marie (Hauer) Lewis. She was a 1938 graduate of Cuyahoga Falls High School in Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio. She was united in marriage to Dale Robinson on November 11, 1939 in Cuyahoga Falls. She was a Rosie Riveter during WWII at the Akron Blimp Hanger Production Facility. She was a former member of the Everett Church of Christ in Peninsula, Ohio where she was active in the Ladies Aid Society and also taught Sunday school for 12 years. She enjoyed singing with her husband in church and participating in the Home Extension Club. After raising their children in Northampton Township, Ohio they moved to Louisville, Ohio where they were members of Louisville Christian Church. Upon Dale’s retirement they moved to Clermont, Florida where she was a reading tutor at Clermont Christian Church where she was a member. In 1998 Marie moved to Huntington, IN and was a member of the Northview Church of Christ.

There will be no visitation or funeral service in Huntington, Indiana.

Survivors include a son: James (Kathy) Robinson of Louisville, OH; a daughter: Janice (Tom) King of Huntington, IN; a daughter-in-law: Rita Robinson of Satellite Beach, FL; a brother: Richard Lewis of Phoenix, AZ; two sisters: Emily Robinson of McKinney, TX; Joanne Kilgore of Newton, KS; seven grandchildren, nine great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband: Dale on April 4, 1991, her son: Dennis on January 30, 2013 and her infant daughter: Lavonne.

A celebration of life will take place at Oakwood Cemetery in Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio at 12:00pm on April 4, 2015. There will be a luncheon following at 1:30pm at The Church in the Valley (formerly Everett Church of Christ).
