Cantina Marie Mechling 49, of Fort Wayne, passed away on Wednesday July 2, 2025 at Parkview Regional Medical Center. Cantina graduated from Huntington North High School in 1995. She then went on to receive her Bachelor's degree from Ivy Tech. Cantina had worked at Woodview Nursing Home from 1995 to 2012 and then later retired from Lancashire Place. She loved doing crossword puzzles, shopping, talking on the phone and going out with her family and friends.
Cantina was born on December 25, 1975 in Huntington a daughter of Dale Jr. and Carolyn (Henson) Mechling.
She is survived by two sons: Jonte Mechling of Fort Wayne and Malik Robinson of Fort Wayne; a sister: Celena (Wesley) Mechling-Pugh of Columbia City; her mother: Carolyn Mechling; two half brothers: Johnathon Mechling and Jacob Mechling.
Cantina was preceded in death by father Dale Mechling Jr.
A gathering of family and friends will be held on Wednesday July 9. 2025 from 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at the Myers Funeral Home Huntington Chapel, located at 2901 Guilford Street, Huntington IN 46750.
