Carol E. Coles, 86 of Huntington, passed away on Saturday morning August 3, 2024 in Mooresville, Indiana at the Springs of Mooresville. Carol had worked for many years in the offices of Huntington Memorial Hospital and the Essex Company. She had also worked at the former Rehabilitation Hospital of Fort Wayne, The Imaging Center, the state capitol building in Indianapolis, and the former Kendrick Hospital in Mooresville. She was a 1955 graduate of Huntington High school.
Carol was born on November 7, 1937 in Huntington a daughter of the late Heber S. and Gladys L. (Parker) Schnitz.
Survivors include - two daughters: Deborah (Tim) Hoffman of Mooresville, Indiana and Dianna Coles of Indianapolis; a son: Rich Coles of Huntington; four grandchildren: Lisa Hoffman, Andrew (Michelle) Hoffman, Kelsey (Ryan) Korthal and Kendyl (Landon) Harris; six great grandchildren: Elizabeth (Brandon) Stebing, Avery Hoffman, Owen Hoffman, Will Hoffman, Logan Hoffman and Harrison Korthal; one great-great grandchild: Addison Stebing.
She was preceded in death by a sister: Shirley Schnitz Esbensen.
Private family graveside services will take place on a later date at the Mt. Hope Cemetery in Huntington.
