Dan H. Wagers Sr., 70 of Huntington, passed away Tuesday August 13, 2024 at his home. Dan had worked as a welder at Wayne Metals in Markle for over 15 years until his retirement. He was a 1971 graduate of Northfield High School in Wabash and later received his Welding Certification from Ivy Tech. Dan proudly served his country in the U.S. Navy. He loved classic Rock-n-Roll, enjoyed fishing and in his younger years liked to go rabbit hunting. Dan loved spending time with his kids and grandkids. He had a great sense of humor, and was a super witty and funny guy to all that knew him.
Dan was born on December 16, 1953 in Dayton, Ohio, a son of the late Omar and Helen (Beech) Wagers.
Survivors include a son: Dan H. Wagers Jr. of Huntington; two daughters: Jessica Wagers of Huntington and Cassandra Torres of Warren; ten grandchildren, five great grandchildren and a brother: Ron (Tina) Wagers of Huntington.
He was preceded in death by a brother: Tim Wagers
A Gathering of Family and Friends will take place on Wednesday, August 21, 2024 from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the Myers Funeral Home, Huntington Chapel, 2901 Guilford St., Huntington, Indiana.
