David "Dave" Lee Endsley, 75 of Huntington passed away on April 23, 2026 at Lutheran Hospital. Dave was a 1968 graduate of Huntington North High School and was a ten year 4-H member in Huntington County and was a member of the FFA. Dave had worked at Good Humor/Breyers in Huntington for 42 years, retiring in 2013. He was a member of the Emmanuel Community Church and was involved in several ministries at the church. He served as a scout leader for several years. Dave enjoyed fishing, golf, working on his old tractor, photography, traveling and following his grandkids in all of their events. Through his passing, Dave was able to help countless lives by being an organ donor.
Dave was born on May 18, 1950 in Huntington, a son of the late Verne L. and Betty J. (Chenoweth) Endsley.
He was united in marriage to Nita E. Thorne on June 1, 1974 at the Zion Church in Huntington. Nita survives in Huntington.
Additional survivors include two sons: Nathan (Steph) Endsley of Huntington, Seth (Dawn) Endsley of Huntington; a daughter: Rachel Endsley of Waynesville, NC; a sister: Kathy (Dan) McCune of Huntington; a brother: Mike (Glenna) Endsley of Borden, IN; five grandchildren: Cohen, Brody, Silas, Sawyer and Reagan.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, June 13, 2026 from 10:00 am - 12:00 pm at The Branch Emmanuel Community Church, 7227 Bittersweet Moors Dr., Fort Wayne, Indiana.
Memorial service will be held directly following the visitation on Saturday, June 13, 2026 at 12:00pm.
Interment will be at the Zion Cemetery in rural Huntington at a later date.
