Dean R. Beaver
January 7, 1932 – April 2, 2021
Dean R. Beaver, 89 of Huntington, passed away early Friday morning April 2, 2021 at the Heritage Pointe of Huntington. Dean was a lifetime farmer, living on the Beaver Family Farm in Union Township which is now into its 5th generation of ownership in the family. He also worked at H.K. Porter for over 20 years, retiring in 1994. Dean was a 1950 graduate of Union Twp. High School and served in the US Army from 1952 to 1954. Dean was a member of the Union Church and was caretaker of the Union Cemetery for over 40 years. Dean made maple syrup for many years at the family camp, Beaver’s Pure Maple Sugar, continuing the multi-generation tradition. He was heavily involved in the Huntington County 4H with his children and grandchildren. Dean bowled for the First National Bank team at Rainbow Lanes in the Wednesday night late league for many years. He was an avid New York Yankees, Purdue Boilermakers and Huntington North Vikings fan. But most of all Dean loved his family, talking about them non-stop to anyone that would listen.
Dean was born on January 7, 1932 in Huntington a son of Charles and Cholista Frech Beaver. He was united in marriage to Naomi E. Bohr on May 11, 1952 at the Central Christian Church in Huntington. She preceded him in death on August 20, 2004.

ADD A MEMORYSheila and Brian Rethlake
April 10, 2021
To all of the Beaver clan,
Few people in this world have the kind of impact Dean and Naomi have had. During joy and losses, they have been genuine Christians with the deepest of love for their family. Their example has been set and we all should strive to love God and people in the same way they have. The Beaver clan legacy is a large part of what has made growing up around Roanoke and Markle the best this world has to offer! We are both better from knowing all of you!!
What a day of rejoicing it will be when you all are together again!!
Hugs and love from The Rethlake’s

To Rich, Doug, Nadean, Cindy, and all the Beaver family,
I have so many memories of the Beaver family over the past 40 years. Your family has been through a lot but your closeness as a family and your faith has been an inspiration to many over the years. Dad was a great guy, I would see him at the HNHS basketball games, making maple syrup and in recent years at the Heritage. He was a great talker always talking about his family and asking about mine. I will pray for all of you during this difficult time, He had a good life and longevity. He has left a legacy for the family, his church and community that will be remembered with affection.
