We can still hear Dean call out "Hold it Down!" when we got a little too rowdy on the bus -- hardly raising his voice!  He was the best.  We rode his bus for the majority of our years at Union and will always have a warm place in our hearts for him.  So sorry to hear of his passing.

To Joe and family. Uncle Dean was one of the most tenderhearted, unselfish and hardworking men we have ever had the privilege to know.  He lived his life as a giver and greeted everyone with that sweet smile of his. He was loved by all and will be very missed.

Dean and I were friends in his early years. My grandmother had the farn next to his grandparents.

Dean carried a lot of kids on his bus over the years, and many of us carry him fondly in our memories!  He was always so patient and kind!  I was usually the first one on his bus in the morning and the last one off.  He always had WOWO on the radio, and I remember his driving us through some pretty deep snow.

So sorry to hear of Dean's passing.  He was my bus driver through out all of my years attending Huntington schools.  He will be missed and always loved and respected for the wonderful man he was and what he stood for... rest in peace my friend.

To Dean and Carol's families.  

Deanna and I enjoyed visiting with Dean and Carol when we moved back to Indiana, and the time they came to Denver on their 50th Anniversary when we lived there.  It was a surprise trip, and when they called and we got together we asked if they would like to tour Denver.  Carol said "no", they would like to go to Black Hawk to do a little gambling with the one-arm bandits.  Oh course, Dean agreed and he and I watched the two ladies pull the levers!  

Dean was always a real gentleman!  Both he and Carol raised wonderful children and enjoyed their grandchildren. He will be missed.  

And, Who would buy a bulldozer at 81?  Dean Hosler.

To Joe's family and Judy's family,
We were sad to hear of Dean's passing.  My memories are of him coming home from the Army in that uniform and the polish of his boots.  We were all amazed that he would jump out of airplanes.  He will be missed.

To the Hosler family,
My deepest sympathy for the loss of your father and grandfather. My memories include Christmas at Grandma and Grandpa Hosler's with guessing how much was in the money jar and seeing Dean when we came to Indiana. At one of the last cousin get togethers, it was great just listening to his stories of the family and life on the farm.

Joe, Judy and family, We are sad to hear of Dean passing away. You and your families will be in our thoughts and prayers. We are making plans to come to the gathering and the memorial service on the 25th.
