Earl L. Stricker, 83 of Fort Wayne and formerly of Huntington, Huntertown and New Mexico, passed away on Saturday Morning, April 25, 2026, at The Waters of Fort Wayne. He was a 1961 graduate of Huntington High School. Earl's early career included working on the Railroad and being a Fireman. Earl was a wonderful salesman and spent over 50 years mostly selling cars. He loved working for Tom Kelley GM and previously at Evans Chrysler, Dodge and Jeep. Earl loved the outdoors and loved being near the water and in the woods; fishing, hunting, trapping and looking for mushrooms. He enjoyed his younger years on the farm and held onto those memories. He was an avid sports fan and loved his dog, Lucy!
Earl was born on February 18, 1943, in Huntington a son of the late Robert A. and Grace L. (Mote) Stricker.
He was united in marriage to Ruth M. Graft of April 26, 2004, in Tennessee. Ruth survives.
Additional survivors include two sons: Tom (Josie) Stricker of Los Lunas, NM and David (Misty) Stricker of Albuquerque, NM; a daughter: Mandy Chambers of Lima, OH; three brothers: Fred (Marianna) Stricker of Coldwater, MI, Harold (Jacque) Stricker of Cottage Grove, TN and Tom (Nancy) Stricker of Van Wert, OH; three sisters: Anita Bennett of Boise, ID, Carolyn Batdorff and Donna (Jerry) Shupert both of Charlevoix, MI; seven grandchildren and ten great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, a brother: Robert and sister-in-law Carolyn Ruth Stricker; a sister-in-law: Marceline Stricker; two brothers-in-law: Dean Bennett and Delbert Batdorff and son-in-law: Calvin Chambers.
A Christian burial Service will be held on Friday, May 1, 2026, at 1:00 pm at the Gardens of Memory Cemetery, Serenity Chapel located at 11201 S. Marion Rd. - 35, Marion, Indiana.
