Edward William Skepnek Jr.

Edward W. Skepnek Jr., 78, of Huntington, passed away on Wednesday October 14, 2026 at his residence. Ed traveled all over the country during his career in pharmaceuticals. After his career he preferred to be a homebody. He loved working in his garden and using his hands in building and repairing. Ed had a vast love for animals, especially the many K-9 companions he had in his life. His dogs truly were family to him. A proud Chicagoan through and through, Ed loved to root for and watch the Bears and Cubs.

Ed was born on November 1, 1947 in Chicago a son of the late Edward and Corinne (Boltz) Skepnek.

He was united in marriage to Beverly Schoeff on November 2, 2002 in Arlington Heights, IL. His wife survives in Huntington.

Additional survivors include a daughter: Julie (Keith) Sola; a son: Robert (Nancy) Skepnek; three grandchildren: Joseph Fagiano, Kevin Sola, and Michael Skepnek; a great grandchild: Carly Fagiano; two step-children: Justin (Kelli) McCurdy, and Melissa (Demetri) Karavatsos; two brothers: Phillip (Betty) Skepnek, and Jeffery (Terry) Skepnek; a sister: Barbara Crivellaro;

He was preceded in death by his parents, his beloved grandmother: Helen Boltz; and a step-daughter: Trina McCurdy.

A visitation will be held on Monday October 26, 2026 from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. at the Myers Funeral Home, Huntington Chapel located at 2901 Guilford Street, Huntington IN 46750.

A funeral service will be held on Monday October 26, 2026 at 11:00 a.m. immediately following the visitation at the Myers Funeral Home, Huntington Chapel.

Interment will be at Lancaster Cemetery.
