Glen W. "Bill" Gooley

Glen "Bill" William Gooley, 77, of Huntington passed away on Tuesday July 14, 2026 at Parkview Randallia in Fort Wayne. Bill had worked for General Electric for 15 years, prior to spending over 30 years at General Motors. Bill loved playing cornhole, camping, fishing, and mushroom hunting.

He was born on May 8, 1949 in Huntington, a son of the late Melvin and Charlotte (Booher) Gooley.

He was united in marriage to Deborah Huston on August 22, 1987 in Huntington, his wife survives in Huntington.

Additional survivors include three daughters: Sondra (Kent) Wright of Bluffton, Jessica (Mike) James of Fort Wayne, and Jennifer Gooley of Fort Wayne; a sister: Alice Wiley of Huntington; seven grandchildren: Granger Clark, Noah Clark, Onyx Bowen, Nathaniel James, Zayden James, Isabella James, and Darius James.

He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers: Charles "Chuck" Gooley and Dave Gooley; and a brother-in-law: Jerry Wiley

A celebration of life will be held on Monday July 20, 2026 from 1:00 p.m to 4:00 p.m. at the UAW Local 2209 Union Hall, 5820 E. 900 N., Roanoke, IN 46783.
