We remember Hilda from The Daughters Of The American Revolution. As members of The General Francis Marion Chapter in Marion, we met Hilda at Chapter events. We remember Hilda as being a very nice & classy lady. We are sorry to hear about Hilda's passing. We send our sympathies to her family.

Dear Mary and David and your families, I have such fond and rich memories of your mother! I so enjoyed her when I was a little girl, and my first memory is of her going with my mother to a teacher's conference in which they had toured a bread plant in Ft. Wayne, and Hilda gave me her little sample of bread, in miniature. Just a child's delight, and your mother knew just what a little girl would like. I recall the times I'd visit with your mother after I returned to Huntington as an adult, and that we shared perennials for our gardens, when she was living on North Guilford. She is a true example of decency, morality, hard work, practicality, yet great humor and grace in her bearing and handling of life's vissicitudes. God bless her always, and I know she will be missed by so many of us.
