OBITUARY

Jerald D. Vaught

December 4, 1935October 28, 2019

Jerald D. Vaught, 83 of Butler, formerly of Huntington and Angola passed away at 10:15 pm on Monday October 28, 2019 at the Laurels of Dekalb nursing home. Jerald worked as a custodian for the Huntington County School Cooperation for 21 years, as well as the Keene Cooperation in Huntington for 20 years. Jerald also worked at the Salamonie Reservoir. He enjoyed working on the family farm and spending his time gardening.

Jerald was born on December 4, 1935 in Pike County, AR a son of Miley and Artie (Welch) Vaught.

He was united in marriage to Carmen Ralston on October 29, 1955 in Huntington County. His wife survives.

Additional survivors include a son: Terry (Sherry) Vaught of Mansfield OH; a daughter: Delena (Wayne) Taylor of Angola; two grandchildren: Amy Taylor, and Reese Vaught; and two nephews: Kenny Vaught and Dennis Vaught.

He was preceded in death by his Parents, two brothers: Kenneth Vaught, and Bill Vaught; and five grandchildren: Taylor, Alan, Adam, Jonathan, and Kelly Taylor.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 31, 2019 from 12:00pm – 2:00pm at the Myers Funeral Home Huntington Chapel, 2901 Guilford Street, Huntington, Indiana.

Funeral service will be held on Thursday, October 31, 2019 at 2:00 pm at the Myers Funeral Home Huntington Chapel.

Interment will be at the Star of Hope Cemetery in rural Huntington County.

Memorial donations can be made out to the Alzheimer’s Association in care of Myers Funeral Home, 2901 Guilford Street, Huntington, IN 46750.
