Jerry W. Miller, 82, of Ladoga, Indiana, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by his dear wife, Linda and his children on September 29, 2026. He was born on February 3, 1944 to Mark and Rosella (Crago) Miller in Huntington and resided in Huntington most of his life. He graduated from Huntington Township High School as Salutatorian in 1962 and married Linda Mae (Platt) Miller on August 22, 1965 at Zion Church. He graduated from Purdue University in 1967 with a degree in Agriculture.
He was a farmer for most of his life and in later years enjoyed working in the RV industry selling, servicing and delivering RVs for various dealerships. RV’ing was an important part of Jerry and Linda’s life and they spent a lifetime traveling with their children in their early years and then with their many dogs.
A natural leader- Jerry led many organizations. He served on the board of directors for Zion Church and the Montgomery County Pioneer Association. He served as President of the Bippus Lion’s Club, the Indiana Guernsey Breeders, the Northeastern Indiana Kennel Club and Vice President of the Huntington Co. Farm Bureau. He was the chairperson for the Old Fort Wayne Cluster Dog Show. He gave his all to these endeavors and had a gift of motivating those around him to do the same.
His pride and joy was his grandchildren, Will and Jessie Bradley. There was not an activity that he missed. He and Linda would even travel home from their winters in Florida just to attend Grandparents Day at their elementary school. They moved to Ladoga, Indiana to be closer to them in 2012. Even when his health was failing, they could elicit a smile from him.
In the last few years of life he attended Whitesville Christian Church in Crawfordsville, Indiana but spent the majority of his life attending Zion.
Surviving are his wife of 61 years, Linda, his children- son Jeffrey Miller of Huntington and daughter, Pamela (Brian) Bradley of Ladoga; his two grandchildren Will and Jessie Bradley of Ladoga and two bonus grandchildren, Hannah and Mallory McKinney of Ladoga.
A visitation will be held on Monday October 5, 2026 from 11:00 am to 2:00 pm followed immediately by a funeral service at Zion Country Church located at 6276 N. Old Fort Wayne Road, Huntington, IN 46750. Interment will be at the Zion Cemetery.
An additional celebration of life will be held at Whitesville Christian Church in Crawfordsville, IN on Sunday October 18 from 1:00pm to 4:00pm.
In lieu of flowers the family asks that memorial contributions be made to Zion Country Church in care of Myers Funeral Home, 2901 Guilford Street, Huntington, IN 46750.
