Joan W. Krieg 90, of Fort Wayne and formerly of Huntington passed away on Friday, July 25, 2025 at Stillwater Hospice in Fort Wayne. Joan was a 1952 graduate of Huntington Township High School. She had worked in the office for Shambaugh, Pohlmeyer, and H&R Block. Joan enjoyed singing in her church choir and being involved in many church organizations such as "Circle" and the Merry Mates Club. She was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star. In her younger years Joan loved playing with her children. One of their fondest memories were their evening "Dish Races". Later in life Joan became an avid reader. She enjoyed doing jigsaw puzzles and loved to watch soap operas.
Joan was born on August 2, 1934 in Detroit, Michigan, a daughter of the late Mary Jane Hoffman
She was united in marriage to Paul Krieg on August 28, 1955 in Huntington. He preceded her in death on October 14, 2024.
Survivors include five daughters: Anna (Mark) Firnhaber of LaPorte, Rebecca (Mike) Landrigan of Fort Wayne, Laura Rohrs of Fort Wayne, Jennifer (Kathy) Krieg-Rodkey of Lafayette, Barbara (the late Robert) Pellegrini of Monticello; 24 grandchildren and 40 great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her mother, several siblings, and a granddaughter Christina Landrigan.
There will be no public services at this time.
A private graveside service will be held at St. Peters First Cemetery in Huntington at a later date..
