Julie G. Mearing, 65 of Marion, passed away late Friday afternoon, February 21, 2025 at Parkview Regional Medical Center in Fort Wayne. Julie was a 1977 graduate of Huntington North High School. She had worked at Magnavox in Fort Wayne for many years as well as Continental Industries of Fort Wayne. Julie had worked with her dad at Larry F. Wells and Associates in the office and working on auctions. One of Julie's favorite jobs was being a waitress, she worked at Ugaldes in Huntington for several years. Julie belonged to the "KNOT" Group and she worked with the Doe Network helping find missing persons. She definitely was a people person and enjoyed spending time with her friends. She was an avid internet surfer and enjoyed watching crime shows on television.
Julie was born on April 20, 1959 in Huntington, a daughter of the late Larry Wells and Janet (Parker) Smith.
She was united in marriage to Ronald L. Mearing on March 20, 1999 in Huntington. Ron Survives.
Additional survivors include two daughters: Lyndsay (Sara) Duquette of Marion, Jessie Robbins of Huntington; two sisters: Sandra (Jeff) Holmes of North Webster, Jana (Mike) Esch of Columbia, KY; six grandchildren: David, Zach, Tena, Katie, Courtney and Paige.
She was preceded in death by her parents, a son: Jordan Larimer and a brother: Russell Wells.
