Lavell Jane Foster

Lavell Jane Foster, 90 of Huntington passed away at 6:45 am on Thursday, June 20, 2019 at Oakbrook Village. Lavell was a homemaker and a gospel singer. She was born on January 19, 1929 in Huntington, the daughter of Norval and Ruth (Hardin) Helvie. She was united in marriage to Joseph Lewis Foster. He preceded her in death on June 14, 2001. Survivors include a son: Robert (Sandra) Foster of Huntington; two grandsons: Travis Joseph (Nicole) Foster of Fort Wayne, Andrew Robert (Cortney) Foster of Huntington; five great grandchildren: Lanie Foster of Huntington, Lucas Foster of Huntington, Cameron Foster of Fort Wayne, Alex Holman of Fort Wayne and Xavier Holman of Fort Wayne. She was preceded in death by her parents: Norval and Ruth Helvie, two sisters: Lois Wynkoop, Phylis Forst and two brothers: Merill Helvie and Robert Helvie. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, June 25, 2019 from 4:00pm – 5:00pm at the Myers Funeral Home Huntington Chapel, 2901 Guilford Street, Huntington, Indiana. Funeral service will be held at 5:00pm on Tuesday, June 25, 2019 following visitation at the Myers Funeral Home Huntington Chapel with Pastor Brunk Conley officiating. Interment will be at the Star of Hope Cemetery at a later date. Memorial donations can be made out to Helping Paws Pet Haven in care of Myers Funeral Home, 2901 Guilford Street, Huntington, IN 46750.
