Lorraine E. "Lori" Edwards, 59 of Huntington, and formerly of Arcadia, Florida, passed away on Monday morning at 10:59 am, August 25, 2025 at Lutheran Hospital in Fort Wayne, Indiana. Lori was a graduate of Rowan County High School in Morehead, Kentucky and was a graduate of South Florida University in Sebring, Florida. She retired from DeSoto County Board of County Commissioners in Arcadia as a Finance Specialist before moving to Huntington in May of 2025. Lori enjoyed going to River Ranch spending time in the outdoors and riding recreational vehicles. She loved spending time with her sisters from other misters. Lori would like to thank those who walked beside her on her journey with cancer.
Lori was born on October 16, 1965 in in Lexington, Kentucky, the daughter of the late Ennis and Judith (Wilson) Gillispie.
Survivors include: her companion: Robert Pursifull of Huntington; two sons: Tanner Edwards and Tyler Edwards; three brothers: Michael (Lynn) Gillispie, Wayne (Darlene) Gillispie, Mark Gillispie and nieces and nephews: Abigail, Nate, Micayla and Brandon.
Her parents preceded her in death.
A Celebration Of Life will be held on Friday, October 3, 2025 at 3:00 p.m. the Turner Center, 2250 NE Roan Street, Arcadia, Florida 34266.
