

Louis Allen Machall, 73 of Huntington passed away at 8:16pm on Friday, January 17, 2014 at Parkview Huntington Hospital. Mr. Machall was a printer, editor, and an occasional contributor to Our Sunday Visitor. He owned several businesses including Crystal Café Bar, Huntington Auction, Magoo’s Ice Cream Shop, Filling Station (now Red Eye Bar & Grill), The Unicorn Bar, Renz Cleaners, Three Stooges (The Omega), The Pickle in Markle, and Mount Etna Bait & Beverage. He requested that his hobbies not be published. :) He was a member of the St. Mary Catholic Church, Knights of Columbus, Sons of the American Legion Post #85, and Moose Lodge #837.
Louis was born on June 14, 1940 to Louis A. and Martha A. (Summers) Machall.
He was united in marriage to Mary Elizabeth Wall on June 13, 1964.
Survivors include his children: Elizabeth (Thomas) Dwyer of Fort Wayne; Meg (Tony) Fouts of Noblesville; Michele (Brian) Buoscio of Carmel; Matthew (Sara) Machall of Fort Wayne; a brother: Harold (Claudia) Machall of Roanoke and eight grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister: Lorraine (Jim) Jung of Michigan.
Visitation will be held on January 30, 2014 from 2:00 – 4:00pm and 6:00 – 8:00pm with recitation of the rosary at 1:30pm at the Myers Funeral Home Huntington Chapel, 2901 Guilford Street, Huntington, Indiana.
Funeral mass will be held on January 31, 2014 at 11:00am at the St. Mary Catholic Church, 903 N. Jefferson Street, Huntington with Father John Pfister officiating.
Interment will take place at the Mt. Calvary Cemetery at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, preferred memorials are to Huntington Knights of Columbus/LOVE in care of Myers Funeral Home, 2901 Guilford Street, Huntington, IN 46750.
