Marissa and I were best friends growing up. We did a lot together from basketball for the homeschool group to just hanging out being typical preteens. The one thing about Marissa that I will always remember is how she was always able to make me smile. She was goofy and fun to be around. I remember spending countless hours hanging out at her house doing our hair and nails and just laughing, having fun, and taking goofy pictures together. I will always be thankful for the memories I have of Marissa.

Marissa had a contagious smile. She was the type of child who never stopped moving. I visited when she lived in Missouri, where she loved to play and run toys up and down the long hallway of their home. She was very vocal! After the family moved to Huntington, I was the closest aunt, and Marissa spent time often at my home, in the pool, or later playing with the twins on the swing hanging from the kids' favorite climbing tree. We hosted her graduation party and attended her baby showers. We spent a lot of time in the car when she needed help getting to appointments. She had a lot of highs and lows in her short life, but she loved deeply. She loved caramel frappes, bunnies, basketball, family, and her babies. In December we talked about her dreams and she thought it might be nice to go to beauty college to become a stylist. My favorite memory will always be that she would say "I Love you, Aunt Joni" every time we met. She was loved, her girls are loved, and her family will be loved and taken care of. Jesus, please take care of our girl.

I met Marissa when she was about 3yrs old. Her and her sister Kelli were staying with Roger and Lisa Brown who later became their parents. Marissa wasn't your topical 3yr old her and Kelli had been through a lot. But through a lot of love and guidance she learned how to be little girl again. I became Aunt GG to her and Kelli and her brother Ben. I loved all the times they would come to my house to spend the night. Even as she got older she still liked coming to Aunt GG. I have a lot of good memories of Marissa but one that sticks out the most is after they moved to Indiana they came back for a visit. My best friend Shari whom became Nonna to them had horses. So I packed them and we went out to Nonnas for the night. She got to ride the horse and swim in a hot tub. Then we all stayed up late laughing about different things. I will never forget how happy she was. I want to thank Her parents Lisa and Roger for letting me be part of Marissa life and Kelli and Ben. Kelli Girl and Ben never forget how much I love you guys. And Marissa your Aunt GG will always love you. My prayers is that you are happy in the arms of our Lord Jesus Christ.
