

Mary Ellen Caley, 82 of Warren and formerly of Huntington passed away at 7:05 pm on Saturday, February 7, 2015 at Visiting Nurse and Hospice Home in Fort Wayne. Mary Ellen was a 1950 graduate of Huntington High School. She was the director of the Huntington College Union Building from 1974 – 1978. She was a former owner of Town & Country Flowers and Gifts from 1978 – 1982. She previously worked as a matron for Indiana Bell Telephone in Huntington. She was a member of College Park United Brethren Church where she and her husband were sponsors of the Children of Faith Youth Ministry.
Mary Ellen was born on October 9, 1932 in Warren, Indiana, a daughter of I.H. and Opal (Holmes) Follis.
She was united in marriage to Jerry L. Caley on August 6, 1950 in Huntington. He preceded her in death on June 25, 1993.
Survivors include two sons: Rev. J. Michael (Lynne) Caley of Byron Center, MI; Robert G. (Karol) Caley of Huntington; two daughters: Cynthia (Randy) Kreps of Huntington; Jane (Rod) Seely of Huntington; a sister: Freda Schwob of Huntington; 14 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a sister: Helen Follis and a brother: Glenn R. Follis.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, February 12, 2015 from 2:00 – 4:00pm and 6:00 – 8:00pm at the Myers Funeral Home Huntington Chapel, 2901 Guilford Street, Huntington, IN 46750.
Funeral service will be held at 11:00 am with one hour of visitation prior to the service on Friday, February 13, 2015 at College Park United Brethren Church, 1945 College Ave. with Rev. J. Michael Caley and Pastor Gary Dilley officiating.
Interment will be at the Lancaster Cemetery.
