Maurice W. Dennis

Maurice W. Dennis, 82 of Huntington passed away at 1:37 a.m. on Wednesday, March 28, 2012 at the Visiting Nurse and Hospice Home in Fort Wayne. Maurice was a farmer in Huntington County. He was the owner and operator of Dennis Grain Company, Inc. for 40 years and was a member of the Sunday Morning Pilots Club.

Maurice was born on May 18, 1929 in Union Township, Huntington County, the son of Everett C. and Jennie L. (Hurdle) Dennis.

He was united in marriage to Joan M. Cramer on October 1, 1949 at the Roanoke Evangelical United Brethren Church.

Survivors include his wife: Joan Dennis of Huntington; three sons: Marc G. (Linda) Dennis of Huntington; Jack R. (Polly) Dennis of Roanoke; Robert C. (Marilyn) Dennis of Roanoke; a sister: Beth (William) Ambriole of Roanoke; seven grandchildren and five great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by a sister: Laura Jean Hubner and a grandson: Kendall Dennis.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, March 31, 2012 from 4:00 – 8:00 p.m. and Sunday, April 1, 2012 from 4:00 – 8:00 p.m. at the Myers Funeral Home Huntington Chapel, 2901 Guilford Street, Huntington, Indiana.

A private family burial service will take place at a later date at the Glenwood Cemetery in Roanoke.
