Mildred Jeanne Leisure, 93, of North Manchester Indiana, and formerly of Corkscrew Woodlands in Florida and Beaver Dam, Kentucky passed away on Wednesday, March 4, 2026 at the Waters of Wabash East. Mildred loved to travel and especially take cruises. She was a Santa Claus fanatic. Her home was decorated for Christmas year round and she loved to show off her collection of hundreds of Santa Claus decorations. Mildred enjoyed flowers, reading, and crafts. She could always make something out of nothing. Throughout her life she had lived in many places but to her Florida was always home. Most importantly Mildred loved to be with her family.
Mildred was born on September 19,1932 in Petersburg Indiana, a daughter of the late Fred and Mildred (Jones) Kimbrel.
She was united in marriage to Ted Leisure on September 28, 1949 in Madisonville Kentucky. Her husband survives in North Manchester IN.
Additional survivors include three daughters: Sherry (Rod) Carlill of Joplin MO, Debbie Guingrich of North Manchester IN, and Cindy Deel of North Manchester IN; three sons: Terry (Laura) Leisure of Albania, Mike (Laura) Leisure of North Manchester IN, and Steve (Theresa) Leisure of Orlando FL; 17 grandchildren, 35 great grandchildren, and 10 great great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, a granddaughter, a grandson, and a great-great grandson.
To honor Mildred's wishes there will be no public services at this time.
