Netha Eileen Nichols

Netha Eileen Nichols, 96 of Huntington passed away at 6:10pm on Friday, March 23, 2018 at Miller’s Merry Manor. Netha was a 1939 graduate of Huntington High School. She worked at the Wolf & Dessauer Store in Huntington, was secretary at Culligan Water and later she worked at ASCS as a program assistant with the Department of Agriculture. Netha was born on March 28, 1921 in Huntington, the daughter of Martin and Millie (Foust) Shroyer. She was united in marriage to Dorsan E. Nichols on May 24, 1941. He preceded her in death on July 10, 2011. Survivors include two grandsons: Michael Nichols of Huntington; Mark Nichols of Huntington; a granddaughter Laura Nichols of Huntington; six great grandchildren: Nichole Nichols of Huntington; Jacque Stephan of Andrews; John Nichols, Jr. of Andrews; Kayleigh Nichols of Huntington; Todd Nichols of Huntington; Eric Tuesch of Bippus; Brianna Nichols of Huntington; nine great-great grandchildren and one great-great-great grandchild. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; two sons: Ronald Nichols, John Nichols, a sister: Zelda Wagner, four brothers: Maynard Shroyer, Arlo Shroyer, Clarence Shroyer, Dean Shroyer and two grandsons: Matthew Nichols, John Nichols, Sr. Visitation will be held on Saturday, March 31, 2018 from 11:00 am – 1:00 pm at the Myers Funeral Home Huntington Chapel, 2901 Guilford Street, Huntington, Indiana. Funeral service will be held on Saturday, March 31, 2018 at 1:00 pm following visitation at the Myers Funeral Home Huntington Chapel with Pastor Timothy Troyer officiating. Interment will be at the Pilgrims Rest Cemetery. Memorial donations can be made out to Huntington Church of the Brethren in care of Myers Funeral Home, 2901 Guilford Street, Huntington, IN 46750.
