Phyllis K. Cussen Jones

Phyllis K. Jones, 65 of Huntington, died at 8:10 PM on Wednesday, December 7, 2011 at Parkview Huntington Hospital. Mrs. Jones was a 1964 graduate of Huntington High School. She was a homemaker and enjoyed riding motorcycles with her husband. Phyllis attended the Andrews Freewill Baptist Church and was a devoted grandmother and will be dearly missed by her five grandchildren.

She was born on September 19, 1946 in Huntington, a daughter of Frederick and Frances (Payne) Cussen. She was united in marriage to Adrian Jones on October 21, 1969. Her husband survives.

Additional survivors include three sons; Mike (Tiffany) Jones of Huntington, Randy (Jennifer) Jones of Huntington, and Tim Jones of Fort Wayne; five grandchildren, Isaiah Jones, Adalynn Jones, Izabelle Jones, Aubriana Jones and Gabriel Jones; and Richard “Uncle Duke” Class of Huntington.

She was preceded in death by her father, Fred Cussen, her mother Frances Cussen Beverly and her stepfather: Merrill Beverly.

Visitation will be held on Monday, December 12, 2011 from 3:00 – 7:00 pm at the Myers Funeral Home Huntington Chapel, 2901 Guilford Street, Huntington, Indiana.

Services will be held on Tuesday, December 13, 2011 at 10:00 am at the Myers Funeral Home Huntington Chapel with Reverend Rolla Blair officiating.

Interment will be at the Mount Hope Cemetery in Huntington.

In lieu of flowers the family requests memorial donations be made to the Riley Children’s Hospital in care of Myers Funeral Home, 2901 Guilford Street, Huntington, IN 46750.
