R. Michael Felger

R. Michael “Mike” Felger, 68 of Avilla passed away at 1:20 a.m. on Tuesday, April 17, 2012 at Parkview Noble Hospital in Kendallville. He was a 1961 graduate of Huntertown High School. He was a member of the Dillman United Brethren Church in Warren. He worked as a butcher at various locations. He enjoyed traveling and visiting friends and family.

Mike was born on June 7, 1943 in Fort Wayne, a son of Joseph and Betty (Fix) Felger.

He was united in marriage to Brenda D. Weaver on May 1, 1982.

Survivors include his wife: Brenda Felger of Kendallville; a daughter: Julie of Fort Wayne; two sisters: Vickie (Ed) Gordon of Huntertown; Valerie (Alan) Glessner of Avilla; a brother: Craig (Cindy) Felger of Fort Wayne and a granddaughter: Terri.

He was preceded in death by a son: Mark Felger.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, April 21, 2012 from 1:00 – 3:00 p.m. at the Myers Funeral Home Huntington Chapel, 2901 Guilford Street, Huntington, Indiana.

Funeral service will be held on Saturday, April 21, 2012 at 3:30 p.m. at the Myers Funeral Home Huntington Chapel.

Interment will be at the Glenwood Cemetery in Roanoke.
