Rex Eugene Tribolet, 89, of Huntington, passed away late Friday morning July 17, 2026, at Heritage Pointe of Huntington. Rex was a 1954 graduate of Clear Creek High School and was a lifetime farmer. He was member of Evangelical United Methodist Church in Huntington. Rex spent a lot of his time volunteering in the community, helping deliver homebound meals with Parkview Huntington Hospital and volunteering at United With Love. Rex Loved rooting for the Chicago Cubs, Chicago Bears, Indiana Hoosiers, and all HNHS sports teams. Most of all, Rex was a family man that loved spending time with his grandchildren.
Rex was born on August 6, 1936 in Huntington, a son of the late Clifford V. and Bernice B. (Michel) Tribolet.
He was united in marriage to Norma Colclesser on May 29, 1955 in Huntington. His wife survives in Huntington.
Additional survivors include two sons: Michael (Polly) Tribolet of Warren, and Scott (Julie) Tribolet of Brandon, Mississippi; two daughters: Donna (Rick) Uecker of Huntington and Karen (Doug) Teusch of Huntington; ten grandchildren, eleven great grandchildren and one great great grandchild.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
A visitation will be held on Friday July 24, 2026, from 2:00 to 6:00 p.m. at the Myers Funeral Home, Huntington Chapel, 2901 Guilford Street, Huntington IN 46750.
A Funeral service will be held on Saturday July 25, 2026, at 10:00 a.m. with one hour of calling prior to the service at the Myers Funeral Home, Huntington Chapel.
Interment will be at Shock Cemetery in rural Huntington County.
