Richard Dean Thomas

Richard Dean Thomas, 88 of Bluffton passed away at 3:50 pm on Saturday June 1, 2013 at the Christian Care Retirement Community in Bluffton. He was a lifelong farmer of Union Township in Huntington Indiana and he loved woodworking and gardening. Dean also served as the treasurer and secretary of the Little River Conservation Club for several years.

He was born on December 18, 1924 a Son of Floyd and Mary Alice (Bayha) Thomas Senior. His parents preceded him in death.

He was united in marriage to Martha Alice (Blocker) Thomas. His wife preceded him in death.

Additional survivors include a son: Kent Thomas of Indianapolis; Two Nephews: Joe (Leona) Thomas of Roanoke, and Mike (Cheryl) Thomas of Markle.

He was preceded in death by three brothers: Robert Thomas, Phil Thomas, and Floyd Thomas Jr.; and a sister Jane Anne Thomas.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday June 4, 2013 from 1:00 to 3:00 pm at the Myers Funeral Home Markle Chapel, 415 N. Lee Street Markle IN 46770.

Funeral Service will take place on Tuesday June 4, 2013 at 3:00 pm immediately following the visitation at the Myers Funeral Home Markle Chapel.

Interment will take place at Markle Cemetery.
