Robert A. Jeffers, 84, of Huntington passed away Saturday morning January 22, 2022 at Saint Anne Victory Noll in Huntington. Robert retired from ITT Aeronautics in Fort Wayne in December 2001 after 27 years as a Senior Engineer for the Supplier Support and Development Group at ITT Industries. He was a member of the S.S. Peter & Paul Catholic Church in Huntington. Robert was a 3rd Degree Knight and past Grand Knight of the Knights of Columbus and former member of the Elks Lodge all in Huntington.
Robert was born on June 24, 1937 in Decatur, IL, a son of the late Orval M. and Helen R. (Fisher) Jeffers.
He was united in marriage to Madonna Foran on July 12, 1958 in Bement, IL. She preceded him in death on December 17, 2015.
Survivors include a son: Robert Michael Jeffers and Debra of Huntington; a daughter: Patricia LeAnne Jeffers and Michael Hatfield of Fort Wayne; six grandchildren: Kurtis Michael (Chelsay) Jeffers, Steven Andrew Jeffers, Christopher (Hollie) Tellef, Luke Hatfield, Jack Michael Hatfield, Angela (Jimmy) Hatfield; three great grandchildren: Gaige, Brooklynn and Maddox Tellef and a sister-in-law: Jane Foran of Springfield, IL.
Robert was preceded in death by a brother Gene Thomas Jeffers, and a sister: Mary Lamoray.
Visitation will be held on Friday, January 28, 2022 from 3:00 pm – 7:00 pm at the Myers Funeral Home Huntington Chapel, 2901 Guilford Street, Huntington, Indiana. With a prayer service and reading of the Rosary at 2:30 pm. We will be following the CDC’s and Indiana’s Health guidelines.
Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, January 29, 2022 at 11:00 am with an hour of visitation from 10:00 am – 11:00 am at the S.S. Peter & Paul Catholic Church, 860 Cherry St., Huntington, IN.
Interment will be at the Mt. Calvary Cemetery in Huntington.
Memorial donations can be made out to either the S.S. Peter & Paul Catholic Church, the Knights of Columbus or Cancer Services of Huntington County all sent in care of Myers Funeral Home, 2901 Guilford Street, Huntington, IN 46750.
