Rodger E. Darnell, 70 of Huntington passed away Thursday morning, April 22, 2021 at Visiting Nurse and Hospice in Fort Wayne. Rodger had worked at Dalton’s Foundry in Warsaw for 25 years. He loved westerns, guns and playing poker. Rodger was born on February 25, 1951 in Maysville, Kentucky, the son of the late Edgar and Opal (Dillon) Darnell. He was united in marriage to Roxanna Eckert, they were married for 47 years. Roxanna survives. Additional survivors include four daughters: Christina Al-Rubiyee of Huntington, Diana Cozad of Breaux Bridge, Louisiana, Tabitha Darnell of New York, Angela Darnell of Marion; a sister: Patty Darnell of Marion and eight grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents and two sisters: Darlene Hodge and Diane Darnell. There will be no public visitation or funeral service.
