Ruth Ann Haas, 96, of Warren, passed away on Sunday morning June 28, 2026, at Heritage Pointe of Warren. She was a 1948 graduate of Ironton High School in Ohio. Ruth enjoyed gardening and took great pride in maintaining her beautiful flower bed. She generously volunteered with the Red Cross and later at Parkview Hospital in Huntington for many years. Ruth was a former member of the Markle Church of Christ and had attended the Warren Church of Christ, as well as the Applegate Chapel during her time at Heritage Pointe of Warren.
Ruth was born on April 15, 1930, in Ironton, Ohio, a daughter of the late Kyle and Faye (Brown) Dement.
She was united in marriage to Phillip "Gene" Haas on June 22, 1952, in Ironton, OH. Gene preceded her in death on October 12, 2009.
Survivors include three daughters: Judy (Donald) Kiphart of Sante Fe, NM; Susan (Gilbert) Smith of Barrington, NH; Phyllis (Thomas) Carr of Nineveh, IN; eight grandchildren; and thirteen great-grandchildren.
Ruth was preceded in death by her husband, her parents and two sisters: Wanda June Dement and Juanita Ratliff.
Visitation will take place on Friday, July 3, 2026, from 1:00pm - 2:00pm at Myers Funeral Home Huntington Chapel, 2901 Guilford Street, Huntington, Indiana.
Funeral Service will also take place on Friday, July 3, 2026, immediately following the visitation at 2:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
Interment will take place in the Mt. Hope Cemetery, Huntington.
