Sandra "Sandy" Lee Drabenstot, 79 of Huntington, passed away on Sunday afternoon August 23, 2026 at Envive Healthcare in Huntington. Sandy was a 1966 graduate of Huntington High. She spent 24 years in the Huntington County School Corporation working in food service for Huntington North High School. She also operated a mowing business with her husband for over 20 years. Sandy was a member of Evangelical United Methodist Church and ABWA Forks of the Wabash. Sandy loved spending time with her family.
Sandra was born on January 8, 1947 in Marion, a daughter of the late Earl and Katherine (Collins) Starks.
She was united in marriage to Roger Drabenstot on September 15, 1972 in Huntington. Her husband preceded her in death in 2004.
Survivors include a daughter: Michelle Crone of Huntington; a son: Michael (Clarissa) Drabenstot of Huntington; two grandchildren: Matthew Crone and Avery Drabenstot both of Huntington.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, a sister: Earlene Swaim; and a son-in-law: Michael Crone.
A visitation will be held on Wednesday August 26, 2026 from 3:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. at the Myers Funeral Home, Huntington Chapel, Located at 2901 Guilford Street, Huntington IN 46750.
A funeral service will be held on Thursday August 27, 2026 at 10:00 a.m. with one hour of calling prior to the service at the Myers Funeral Home, Huntington Chapel.
Interment will be at Star of Hope Cemetery in Huntington.
