Sharon R. Lewis, 85 of Huntington, passed away Tuesday evening, June 4, 2024 at Parkview Huntington Hospital. Sharon had worked in accounting for many years, at HK Porter and Hedges Business Machines and was business manager of Bottle Works for eight years. She also babysat over the years and was a Foster Mother to 75 children. Sharon was a 1956 graduate of Salamonie Township High school in Huntington County. She was a member of the Central Christian church. Sharon loved Ballroom & Square Dancing, the outdoors were her favorite place.
Sharon was born on December 10, 1938 in Bluffton, Indiana, a daughter of the late Russell and Olive (Freeman) Dalrymple.
Sharon was united in marriage to Jack E. Lewis on December 26, 1957 in Warren, Indiana. Jack Survives.
Additional survivors include - two sons: Brad (Robin) Lewis of Huntington and Greg (Shelia) Lewis of Roanoke; a daughter: Nikki Schilling of Huntington; a sister: Judy (JIm) Ellerman of Adrian, MI; seven grandchildren and seven great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, a daughter: Jan Scher, a sister: Mary Sue Ruble and an infant brother.
Visitation will be held on Monday, June 10, 2024 from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at the Myers Funeral Home, Huntington Chapel, 2901 Guilford Street, Huntington, IN 46750
Funeral Service will also be held on Monday, June 10, 2024 at 1:00 p.m. at the Funeral Home immediately following the visitation.
Interment will take place in the Gardens of Memory Cemetery in rural Huntington County.
