Terry L. VanBuskirk

Terry L. VanBuskirk, 79 of Huntington passed away on Monday, December 30, 2019 at Miller’s Merry Manor. Terry had owned Van’s Burger Dairy in Andrews as well as T&D Architectural Supply and T&D Carpet Cleaning and was co-owner of Andrews Day Care. He worked at E-Systems/Memcor, Millington Truck and Body and later at Union Tools for 24 years, retiring in 2002. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and construction where he worked for Bowers Builders. He was born on December 3, 1940 in Marion, Indiana, the son of Virgil P. and Mildred (Smart) VanBuskirk. He was united in marriage to Donna L. Sission on June 25, 1960 in Lima, Ohio. Donna preceded him in death on May 19, 2014. Survivors include two daughters: Dawn (Bob) Blubaugh of Huntington; Diana VanBuskirk of Huntington; two brothers: David (Bonnie) Walker of Huntington; Phillip Walker of Huntington; a sister: Janet (Don) Cox of Huntington; five grandchildren: Melodi VanBuskirk, Jacob Whitenack, Israel Whitenack, Ricky Whitenack, Richelle Whitenack and three great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, and a sister: Sheila Huffman. Visitation will be held on Saturday, January 4, 2020 from 10:00 am – 1:00 pm at New Hope United Brethren Church, 2001 Engle Street, Huntington, Indiana. Memorial service will be held at 1:00 pm on Saturday, January 4, 2020 following visitation at New Hope United Brethren Church. Memorial donations can be made out to Kidney Foundation or Alzheimer’s Association both in care of Myers Funeral Home, 2901 Guilford Street, Huntington, IN 46750.
